Fans of Waterskiing - Eat Your Heart Out!
Alright Waterski fans we have a summer that will be unmatched in Mulwala and its about to hit - you need to hear about it. We have three big events coming to the town and if Your not in the know now you might miss out.
Oceania Games 17th-19th November 2022
For starters in November we have the Oceania Games. This is essentially Australia V New Zealand competing in all disciplines. At the Max Kirwan Ski Lakes there is Three event skiing, Barefooting, Disabled skiing and Show Skiing All Taking part all taking part. See the best ski jumpers fly or the craziest barefooters performing high speed tricks and some of the most action packed ski competition ever with both lakes going all day long.
On Lake Mulwala in - front of the Ski Club the ski racers will hit adrenaline seeking highs as they competed to see who is the fasters on the water. Speeds of up to 100mph all whilst on a ski is incredible and at Majors Creek Boat ramp the very Best wakeboards will be throwing all manner of flips and spins as competition rages on there as well.
On top of all that, the Ultimate Skier comp kicks off to find out who is the best across the board as skiers compete in all disciplines culminating with a best act competition on the Sunday afternoon at the Ski Parks.
The Action for the Max Kirwan lakes takes place from the Friday and runs all weekend from the 17th to the 19th, with the night jump on Saturday the 18th at 8pm. The wakeboard is on Friday 17 and Saturday the 18th and the Ski Racing all weekend on the 18th and 19th

The IWWF Barefoot World Championships 14th - 19th of February 2023
The Best Barefooters from around the world are coming to Australia for a week of some of the most intense skiing you will ever witness. from high thrills to big spills, the Barefooting Championships will be an awesome spectacle
Australia is in the pole position to with Barefoot Realty Ashleigh Kate Stebbings going for her 5th World Championship making history in the process. Not to mention legends Keenan Derry and Connor Rodgers who sit in the pro shop boat coaching over summer will be going all out for their own golds to.
Competition is across three age groups, Juniors, Under 23s in both male and female category’s. if your a first time footer or a seasoned professional you wont want to miss this event. its going to be huge especially as the night jump hits on the Saturday Night. To see the best in the world soar under lights is something you wont want to miss

Australian Show Ski Nationals march 25th and 26th
Last on the list for our amazing summer of competition is the Australian Show Ski Nationals. And if you don’t know what that means well let me explain
A Ski Show Nationals involves teams putting on a show for an hour, It must contain at least 13 acts and show off a range of skills and tricks throughout. Scores are based on difficulty, execution, presentation, heck even the costumes and announcer is scores.
Sounds a little complicated and it is but you dont need to worry. What it means is that the spectator is front and centre at ever decision the team makes. They actually have to perform their skills in front of the crowd or they won’t be judged. Shows are funny, thrilling, expertly skied, driven and performed and it’s an amazing two days.
Even the individual competitors are designed to impress. with Swivel skiing, Ski Jumping and doubles all taking place right in front of the grandstands. This is not your normal Waterski event.
If you like going to the cricket or football and enjoy a drink while watching the game. Well this is waterskiing version and it’s incredible to be at. We cant recommend strongly enough that you come and watch as you wont be disappointed.
